Our thoughts are with Ross, Sarah & Aaron Austin and Matt & Mavis Bluge of Swimbridge. On November 19th Corporal Ross Austen was severely injured in an explosion in Afghanistan and is recovering in hospital after suffering foot and leg injuries in the blast. Sarah and Ross met in 2005 in Barnstaple and were married in July this year at St James Church.
Thank you to Paul Darch, Landowner of the Jack Russell Inn for donating £150 from the Jack Russell Race Night to the Hall Improvement Fund. It was a great night.
The Christmas Big Breakfast and Craft Fair raised almost £350 towards the Hall Improvement Scheme and Lee cooked 76 breakfasts in 3 hours! Whew. Huge thanks to Lee, Bernie, Sarah and Julie for making it happen. Also a big thank you to Bert Bartlett for donating the Christmas tree and to Saskia & Julie for decorating it.
