Chris King’s funeral took place at St Peter’s Church in West Buckland on Friday 14th August. The service was followed by private interment with full military honours.
The North Devon Journal announced last week that it had launched a memorial fund to honour Chris (previously of Swimbridge( who was killed in Afghanistan in July.
The money raised will be for North Devon Army Cadets and the national Help for Heroes charity, which raises money to support members of the armed forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.
