With the Wilfred and Hazel Adams’ retirement in March from managing our churchyard for many years we have needed to find a new contractor. This has meant the grass growing rather long whilst this was in hand.
From a good number of local and larger companies who tendered we have chosen Julia Petchey from Summermoor at Hearson, Swimbridge to keep the grass tidy for the coming year, and to manage some areas less intensively to maintain the attractiveness of the wild flowers we have.
So we hope soon to have our churchyard looking its usual attractive setting for our village church which is a special place in the heart of our community.
