Visit by Ste Honorine du Fay – 10 to 13 June
I think it’s fair to say that the visit of our friends from Ste Honorine du Fay last month was a resounding success.The feedback I have had has been nothing short of gushing! I would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who was involved in hosting the visitors and who had a hand in organising or helping with the various events.Without your support this visit would not have been the success it was.

Curry Evening
I hope everyone enjoyed the Curry Evening last Saturday. Many thanks to all those who provided the curries and other bits and pieces and a special thanks to Graham who spent most of the evening beavering away in the kitchen boiling up mountains of rice!
Committee Meeting Report
The last committee meeting was held on 3rd February. The main issues that I need to bring to your attention are as follows;
Forthcoming Events
Quiz and Poetry Recital Evening This event will be held on Saturday 12 February in the Jubilee Hall at 7.30pm. Contrary to what I said in the last newsletter the committee decided that the cost of entry should be £4.00 per head (half price for children) and not £6.00. Ideally we would like teams of up to 4 people but you can form up into bigger teams if you really want to.
The format of the evening will be similar to previous Quiz nights with a series of rounds of questions on a variety of topics. However, this year we are introducing a slight variation by reciting poetry between rounds. As the night is close to St Valentine’s day, the committee thought that the theme should be love poems although please don’t be constrained by this. The idea is that anyone can get up and recite a poem. There is no obligation to do so but it would be ideal if we could have a man and woman recite a poem each between each round.
