Swimbridge school are celebrating a good report from Inspectors

School Inspectors have given the thumbs up to Swimbridge Church of England Primary School saying the well-being and personal development of its pupils is outstanding. The Ofsted inspection team also upped the schools overall rating from “satisfactory” to “good”. 


Personal development and well being of pupils is one of the five core areas examined. Inspector Martin James said “Pupils’ personal development is firmly based on the school’s very good provision for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development”. He added that pupils “played together happily and said bullying was not an issue”. 


Other parts of the schools performance were uniformly good, including teaching and learning and the school curriculum. Mr James praised the relationship between teachers, and teaching assistants, class room management and planning.
